Thirteenth Annual Carolina FiberFest
Save The Date – for the
2019 Carolina FiberFest
In 2019, Carolina FiberFest will again be at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC. Drawing fiber enthusiasts from the surrounding area and beyond, this family-friendly event features classes, free demonstrations, and shopping for yarn, ready-to-spin fiber, patterns, tools, accessories, and specialty items.
“Carolina FiberFest is a wonderful opportunity to learn heritage craft skills and to connect with those who are passionate about fiber arts,” says Carolyn Beasley, event founder. “It’s exciting to see the heightened popularity of handmade goods. Kids to teens to adults enjoy spinning, knitting, crocheting, weaving, felting and other activities.”
Now accepting proposals for
CFF 2019 Fiber Arts Workshops
Carolina Fiberfest is now accepting workshop proposals for 2019.
If you would like your workshop to be considered for this upcoming event, please submit a proposal containing the information listed below no later than August 15, 2018.
Request for 2019 Knit & Crochet Along Design Proposals
The Carolina FiberFest is looking for previously unpublished patterns to be donated for the 2019 knit and crochet along. The 2018 knit along was very popular and we have had requests to add a crochet along for 2019.
Patterns should feel approachable for newer knitters and crocheters and be appropriate for hand dyed or hand spun yarns.
If chosen, your pattern would be available for download on the Carolina FiberFest website as a free pattern between January 2019 and April 10, 2019. We will remove the pattern from the CFF website by April 10, 2019, but will gladly promote a link to your website (and the pattern).
Emailed Proposals due by August 20, 2018
Designers will be notified of decision by September 1, 2018
